Swedish National Film Culture in Global Context, 15 ECTS credits
This course aims to address issues in Swedish and to some extent Nordic film history. The approach will be international and comparative, trying to situate Sweden within the framework of international film industries and social relations. Special focus will be given to Ingmar Bergman, Scandinavia's and Sweden's foremost auteur, whose films will be studied from a primarily social and contextual point of view.
