Breaking the Silence - A testimony by former officer Dana Galan in the Israeli Defense Forces

Come listen to a testimony by Dana Galan from Breaking the Silence, an Israeli NGO established by IDF soldiers and veterans who collect and provide testimonies about their military service in the West Bank.
About Dana:
Born and raised in Herut, a Moshav in the Sharon Plain, Dana Golan joined the IDF in 2001 after graduating from Dror High school, Lev Hasharon. Between November 2001 and June 2002, Dana served as a non-commissioned officer in the Education Corps of the IDF and was stationed at the Hebron Boarder Police Base. In June 2002, she was sent to the Officer Training Academy in Zrifin and to the Training Base of the Education Corps for a total of 6 months. Appointed an education officer, she was based at the Military Prison in Zrifin from December 2002 until her release from the army in February 2004. Dana has served as Executive Director of Breaking the Silence since she joined the organization in early 2009 and until February 2013.
