Giuseppe Scellato is Associate Professor at the Politecnico di Torino and is research associate of the Bureau of Research in Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge at Collegio Carlo Alberto, Turin. His main research interests are in the area of economics and management of innovation, industry dynamics, the economic analysis of intellectual property rights and the economics of science. His recent scientific works have appeared in leading international journals, including Science, Nature Biotech, Journal of Corporate Finance, Research Policy, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Research, Cambridge Journal of Economics.
CIRCLE (Centre for Innovaiton, Research and Competence in the learning Economy) is an interdisciplinary center for innovation research at Lund University. The aim of CIRCLE is to understand and explain how innovation can contribute to a good society and tackle societal challenges like economic crises, climate change or increased globalization of economic activities.
