Rebecca Boden is Professor of Critical Management at the University of Roehampton, London. Professor Boden is an academic accountant, her work critically addresses the effects of regimes of management and accounting control on sites of knowledge production – especially universities. Recent work on this area focuses on the effects of accounting and management control on areas of higher education as diverse as: the research imagination, academic freedom, student fees, new organisational forms, gender and quality rankings.
