The Amazing Brain Symposium

Symposium, 350-årsjubileum

Leading scientists will unravel some of the secrets of how the brain works.

A host of world renowned scientists, representing different facets of the neuroscience community, will share their latest discoveries with the public. These leading brain scientists will unravel some of the secrets of how the brain works and help you to understand how this jelly-like clump inside our skulls can generate everything from actions and emotions to thoughts, memories and conscience. The event is open to everybody curious to learn how this amazing organ can make sense of the world around us. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED due to limited amount capacity.

13:30 - 14:15 - Sex chromosomes, language, autism and the brain: unravelling the mystery, presentation by Dorothy V. M. Bishop (UK)

14:15 - 15:00 - Inside the interactive brain, presentation by Antonia Hamilton (UK)

15:00 - 15:30 - Coffee break (provided for free for all participants)

15:30 - 16:15 - From Perception to Pleasure: the Brain Basis of Music, presentation by Robert Zatorre (Canada)

16:15 - 17:00 - Linking Brains to Machines: From Basic Science to Neurological Neurorehabilitation, presentation by Miguel Nicolelis (US)

The time alloted to each lecture includes 15 min for questions from the audience.
