Understanding Law and Legal Institutions in China: Legal Knowledge, Avenues for Redress, and Access to Justice

It provides an overview of the ideology underpinning law and legal work, how knowledge about laws and legal institutions are disseminated in Chinese society, and discusses the possibilities Chinese citizens have and the avenues they use to get justice. In focus are thus legal institutions such as the courts as well as institutions such as petition offices and legal aid organisations.
