Master of Science Programme (120 credits) in Global Studies, 120.0 hp
The Master of Science in Global Studies is an interdisciplinary social science master's programme which aims to provide students with knowledge of globalisation, conflict and social change. This involves an understanding of theories connected to processes of globalisation and transformation as analysed through various disciplinary frameworks. The programme presents major cultural, economic, political and socio-psychological theories and concepts to enable students to make informed, comparative analyses of how globalisation is connected to conflict and social change.
The programme provides qualifications for employment as policy makers, trainers and practitioners working with global issues in government agencies, private companies or NGOs. It also prepares students for PhD studies.
After completing the Master of Science Programme in Global Studies, the students will acquire a Degree of Master (120 credits) of Science in Global Studies, with a major in either of the following disciplines: Gender Studies, Development Studies, Human Geography, Education, Political Science, Social Work, Social Anthropology, Sociology, or Sociology of Law. The major is depending on the major in your Bachelor's degree.
Medium of instruction is English. This means that lectures, seminars and examination will be in English.
