The Academic Society
The central meeting place for students, the Academic Society (Akademiska Föreningen in Swedish, but most often simply called 'AF') offers a wide range of activities to its members, mostly in the areas of culture and media ranging from theatre, radio and tv. The society also presents 'Spex' which are one of Lunds many eccentric traditions. Spex are farcical musical shows centered around historical or mythological events.
The Academic Society occupies a castle like building, almost in the exact centre of the building, and often hosts parties, balls and theatre. There is also a restaurant, book shop and bar.
As a member of a Nation, you become a member of the Academic Society.
