Sammanfattning
In the Middle Ages, St. Birgitta of Sweden was celebrated liturgically on 7 October. Two complete sets of texts for the Divine Office in her honour exist, by the Swedish bishops Birger Gregersson of Uppsala and Nils Hermansson of Linköping. The article studies the image of Birgitta transmitted by these offices and finds among other things a distinctly more nationalistic slant in the office by Birger Gregersson.
