Steroids from the root extract of Pentalinon andrieuxii
Författare
Summary, in English
Two pregnane derivatives (1 and 2) were isolated from the methanolic root extract of Pentalinon andrieuxii, a plant used commonly in Yucatecan traditional medicine to treat leishmaniasis. The structures of both metabolites were established using spectroscopic methods and chemical correlation reactions. An X-ray structure of 1 is reported. (C) 2011 Phytochemical Society of Europe.
