Random errors in antenna technology
Författare
Summary, in English
This paper deals with far field effects of random errors in antenna applications, for instance due to manufacturing tolerances. The canonical problem is to study expressions that represent the far field power pattern from a collection of sources with far field amplitude. In this paper, the author shows that it is possible to derive quite general results from an arbitrary probability distribution, by consistently using the concept of a characteristic function from probability theory. As for the error analysis in antenna technology, the main contribution of this paper is a general and explicit expression for the radiation pattern from an array antenna and a frequency selective structure, subject to errors in its constituents
