Conditions for creativity in different contexts
Publikation/Tidskrift/Serie: Conference of Creativity for Enterprises
Förlag: Tallin University, Estonia
The concept of creativity will be discussed, outgoing foremost from the process oriented theoretical framework named the perceptgenetic (PG) model, first developed in the 50ies, and from that time empirically validated and applied in Lund University and elsewhere. Within the PG model numerous research questions have been operationalized and tested over the years, often with an underlying psychodynamic orientation. Within this broader PGcontext a specific creativity test was developed and validated, aimed at catching and measuring some important aspects of creative functioning. Empirical research with this method, the Creative Functioning Test (CFT) has been made since the 70ies in various contexts. The CFT will be described, as well as major parts of the empirical research. The main contexts are: Creativity in children and youngsters, creativity and gender, creativity in researchers and artists, neuropsychological studies of creativity, creativity and personality in university teachers, and creativity in air force pilots at a Swedish wing.
