Lund University post doctoral programme - luPOD

The Vice-Chancellor of Lund university decided in 2007 that Lund University shall allocated funds for a project called "Better career paths for scientists." This decision has resulted in the project luPOD- Lund University post doctoral program.

You are very welcome to participate if you have a PhD and are working at LU!

The purpose of luPODs activities is to support participants in their professional and personal development, thereby contributing to their establishment and career development, both within and outside the academy. luPOD has three main activities:

1. luPOD web (luPOD w): provide information on issues of interest to post-doctoral activities. The portal is linked with the new "Research guide" from the Research Services office and the Alumni network at LU. The portal is in English and is open to all with post-doctoral activities at LU. All documentation of seminars conducted in luPOD is found here including webcasted lectures.

2. luPOD seminars (luPOD s): All researchers with postdoctoral activities at LU are invited to two seminars per semester held at Palaestra (webcasted, available on luPOD w). See the luPOD web for announcments:

3. luPOD program (luPOD p):  The programs have meetings once a month, which covers the following topics:

  • Research and career paths, employment and labour law
  • How to become a successful researcher
  • How to become a successful teacher
  • How do we combine the various roles
  • Competencies, skills and priorities
  • Communicating research: Third mission
  • Communication and Leadership
