This report will be presented today by Atomium Culture* and Lund University, with the patronage of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the E.U.The Press Conference is foreseen today, Thursday 17th December, between 18:00 and 18:30 in the Asger Jorn Press Conference Room (located in Hall H on the ground floor of the Bella Center).

The Report is the result of the High-Level Workshop organised by Atomium Culture (www.atomiumculture.eu) and Lund University, with the patronage and participation of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Report on Governance for a Low-Carbon Society describes the main issues concerning the future scenarios, the different technology options and the governance barriers to the transition to a low-carbon society.

What will have to happen after COP15? The transition to a low-carbon society involves unprecedented challenges for political institutions and processes and most likely requires new and innovative approaches to governance. The Report (see link below) assesses the possible concrete solutions to reach the targets set for the coming years. It is the result of debates between leading thinkers from university, business, media and policy makers creating a shared view on the barriers and possibilities for the transition.
