Genomic Ecology

Genomic Ecology is a new interdisciplinary research field on the interface between ecology, evolutionary biology and genomics. Molecular, evolutionary and ecological mechanisms and processes are involved in the generation of the immense diversity of form and function that characterizes living organisms. These processes operate at different levels of biological organizations, and at different time and spatial scales. Our work will contribute to an integrated understanding of these processes.

The Centre for Genomic Ecology (CGE) was established in 2006 and involves ca 20 scientists from three different departments within the Faculty of Science at Lund University, Department of Ecology, Department of Cell- and Organism Biology and Department of Theoretical Physics.
