What is LUFF?
Lund University Foreign Friends (LUFF) aims to support PhD students, post-docs, visiting scholars and families. We offer general information on settling in Sweden and we also assist the inviting departments.
As a registered member of LUFF, you will receive electronic newsletters, information and invitations to participate in LUFF's activities.
There is an English-speaking person available at LUFF to answer any questions, and you are always welcome to book a meeting according to an agreement.

What help can LUFF offer?
- Practical assistance with day-to-day enquiries (personal I.D., banking, etc)
- Contacts and advice on schooling, pre-schools and adult education (such as Swedish and English language courses).
- Up-to-date local information on living and working in Lund and Malmö.
- A term programme of events, meetings and activities at which participants have the opportunity to learn more about Sweden and Swedish culture.
- The monthly newsletter "What's Up", highlighting forthcoming events in the region.
