This course is a part time, web based course intending to update and deepen the participants knowledge with respect to the diversity, phylogeny and systematics of the angiosperms (the flowering plants). The participants will get an overview of modern morphological terminology as well as the application of molecular methods. Theories and models dealing with evolutionary processes are discussed. Internet-based tools are introduced and tested. The angiosperm families are presented with special emphasize on cultivated representatives.Studies are carried out at 25% of full time using an web-based approach. The course has three compulsory meetings held on Saturdays in Lund.
