Satu Ramula, docent, associate senior lecturer

I mainly work on plant population dynamics, demographic models and their applications. I am currently running the project on the evolution of invasive plants where we combine experimental and modelling approaches to investigate

  • Factors affecting population establishment, such as propagule pressure and disturbance
  • Variability of demographic rates and invasion success
  • Population dynamics and management of plant invasions
  • Effects of plant invasions on plant communities
  • Genetic diversity of the invasive herb, Lupinus polyphyllus
