Insurances
Insurance of personal belongings can be obtained from one of the companies listed under ”Försäkringar” in the telephone directory. The landlord is responsible for the insurance of property belonging to the owner of the accommodation you are renting, but the tenant must always have his /her own insurance also (double insurance).
The Swedish state´s insurance for Master students in Sweden - Student-In
The Student-In Masters insurance is a group insurance and applies during
the education period in accordance with the LADOK system as well as two
week prior to the start of studies and two weeks after the end of
studies.
The insurance applies twenty-four hours a day in Sweden. The
insurance applies without deductibles.
The insurance pays for
necessary and reasonable costs for emergency medical care or dental care
when the insured suffers illness or has an accident.
Be aware:
The
above section only applies to students who are not citizens of a Nordic
country or an EU member regarding medical benefits. The insurance will
though apply if the students can demonstrate that they have ceased to be
entitled to medical benefits in their home country.
The insurance
do not applies to students who are registered in Sweden and therefore
have a Swedish personal identification number and pay the same health
care fees as persons resident in Sweden.
