Access to Research Resources and Research Infrastructures: Current Tendencies and Future Implications for the Politics and Organization of Science

Welcome to an interdisciplinary workshop bringing together scholars and experts with a common interest in the politics and organization research infrastructures and research resources.
How do changing access policies to research infrastructures and resources resonate broader political framework conditions? To what extent is the question of access a matter of persisting global inequalities and emerging strategic partnerships? How do the concepts of fairness and equity come into play when debating access to resources and access to infrastructures?
These are questions we aim to adress in an interdisciplinary workshop organised by the Pufendorf IAS in cooperation with MAX IV Photon Source at Lund University.
The event starts with an open seminar/talk within the framework of Pufendorf & Friends. This is a series of open discussions and After Works for researchers, providing a forum for informal meetings across all discipline- and faculty boundaries.
The workshop is open to all and free of charge. Day 1 is an opening event without registration (se separate post in calendar here). Registration for Day 2 is however necessary (please note that a no-show penalty of 300 SEK will apply to registered participants who fail to cancel their registration - we will however accept last-minute cancellations and a reminder will be sent to all registered participants beforehand).
Please register for the workshop here
