 author of the recent book Allt har en smak av aska\, reflects on the curre
 nt situation in the region\, beginning with recent developments involving 
 Iran and the Strait of Hormuz\, before turning to the ongoing war in Gaza 
 and its wider implications.Drawing on decades of experience reporting from
  the Middle East\, Uddén will discuss the challenges of covering Gaza tod
 ay\, including the restrictions facing international journalists. She will
  also share personal perspectives from people she has met in Gaza over the
  years\, offering insight into everyday life under prolonged conflict.The 
 seminar will further address political developments\, including former US 
 President Donald Trump’s peace plan\, and reflect on how Israel has chan
 ged over time — becoming\, in Uddén’s view\, increasingly different f
 rom the country she first encountered in the early 1990s.Bringing together
