LUBIRC Breakfast Seminar – Wolfgang Knecht and LP3
Lund Protein Production Platform – an example of a gateway environment
Proteins are of major interest in research because they are essential for life. Most marketed drugs act on proteins, whilst proteins can also act as drugs themselves. In structural biology and drug discovery, high quality protein reagents are in high demand. In technology, proteins can serve as bio-inspired catalysts.
Lund University hosts the Lund Protein Production Platform, LP3, a cross faculty infrastructure of the university. LP3 assists users with: 1) Recombinant protein production, 2) Biophysical protein characterisation, 3) High-throughput crystallization and structure determination, and 4) Stable isotope labelling and bio-deuteration of biological macromolecules.
LUBIRC would like to invite you to the latest in our breakfast seminar series, to be given by Dr Wolfgang Knecht, from the Division of Molecular Cell Biology and Manager of LP3. During this seminar, Wolfgang will tell us about his experiences managing LP3, its organization, services and accessibility, as well as present examples of its capabilities.
Please note that this seminar will be held via Zoom and the link to connect will be provided upon registration. Please register using the following form: registration
