CEC Fellows concept seminar on Landscape
What are they talking about? Landscape as research concept
Register here before 29 May.
We will have interdisciplinary presentations to straighten out the concept of Landscape as a research perspective.
The seminar on Landscape will consist of five short presentations from different research fields and present different ways in which it is understood. The presentations, taking Landscape as point of departure, will illustrate how the concept can be used in different fields. There will be ample room for questions and discussion, hopefully generating new and interesting research ideas.
Landscape perspective for pollinator research, Anna Persson (CEC)
Landscape perspectives to address competing land use claims?!, Cecilia Akselsson (INES)
Landscape in a global, telecoupling perspective, Jonathan Seaquist (INES)
Landscape from a human geographer’s perspective, Tomas Germundsson (KEG)
Borders and fields: the concept of landscape in political science, Peter Christoff (SVET)
Fika & Beehive workshop
Closing words & end
About the seminars
CEC Fellows invites members to four seminars on different concepts during 2019. The invited presenting researchers bring out a basic concept, central for their research, which can be difficult to grasp for researchers in other disciplines. The purpose with the seminars is to meet new people, learn new things and to create an understanding of how to make interesting interdisciplinary research projects that are of interest to everyone involved.
If you have suggestions for concepts to discuss, please let us know!
