Workshop: Turn ideas into articles with The Conversation
Lund University is offering an exclusive opportunity for researchers and PhD students to work directly with an editor from the international news platform The Conversation.
The workshop focuses on how to transform research-based ideas into well-crafted articles for a global audience. This is a hands-on session with limited places, designed to give participants a clear understanding of The Conversation’s editorial approach and practical guidance on pitching and writing.
The workshop will be led by The Conversation’s science editor and will introduce the platform’s mission, audience, and editorial process. Participants will discuss why public-facing research communication matters, and how writing for The Conversation differs from academic publishing in terms of tone, structure, and style. Concrete examples will be used throughout the session.
Two identical workshops will be held on the same day:
Morning session: 10:00–12:00
Afternoon session: 13:00–15:00
Date: 28 April
You will receive an email confirmation if you are offered a place. As interest is high, we kindly ask that you cancel as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
