Summary, in English

In this thesis, we approach the different types of violence that is manifested in the Chilean narrative of post-dictatorship. The genre is of a violent fictional nature and not a testimonial one. Yet, it possesses the same function as the one of testimonial literature because it reflects a real past and real historical events, and therefore it contributes to the general memory of the Chilean society. Using the theories of Zizek, Lipovetsky and Benjamin in their approach to different types of violence. It focuses on the violent aspect of the Chilean narrative of this genre. The question that we intend to answer is: What types of violence can we observe in the indicated works and how do they present themselves? By analyzing two examples of Chilean narrative of post-dictatorship, Tengo miedo torero (2001) by Pedro Lemebel and Carne de perra (2009) by Fatima Sime, we have been able to detect various types of violence. In Tengo miedo torero, predominates the indirect and objective violence, nevertheless, we have also seen examples of subjective violence and social violence. While in Carne de perra, the dominating type of violence is interindividual subjective violence, nevertheless, we have also been able to see examples of savage violence, divine violence and hard violence.
