Summary, in English

Abstract in English
The purpose of this study is to compare the story about Emil i Lönneberga by Astrid Lindgren with the translation Miguel el travieso by Marina Escanilla. The story chosen contains a lot of cultural elements, which appear difficult to translate. The intention is to show that, when translating cultural words, the essential culture of Småland, and the antique and rural of the époque of the 19th and 20th centuries, will lose in semantics, according to the hypothesis of this study. To discover if this happens, the chosen words will be compared with words in the translation of Miguel el travieso, with synonyms, descriptions, translations, together with some images. The categories chosen are proper names and toponyms, words for food, dialectic words, old and rural words. The conclusion made, claims that all categories of cultural words lose in semantics, with the exception of proper names and toponyms.
