Final Performances - Master of Performing Arts as Critical Practice

The graduating students of the new MA Performing Arts as Critical Practice are excited to invite you to their final graduation pieces at Malmö Theatre Academy, Malmö Stadsteater, CKC (CommunityKulturCentrum) and at Konträr in Stockholm, at the end of April and in May.

The eight artists in the first cohort of the MA have created urgent, complex and tender performative works, reflecting their experiences, imagination and desires towards the world they live in. Their performances and installations address a range of subjects, including displacement, human and more then human encounters and welfare policies, domestic and state violence, notions of grandeur, crooks and bullies.

During the two years of their studies, the participants in the MA have deepened, expanded and transformed their artistic practices and ways of working. They have developed their critical thinking and reflective abilites and built collaborations and partnerships both locally and internationally. Their graduation projects are the outcome of their journeys and they are looking forward to share their work with you.
