Ig Nobel Euro Tour bjuder på ett underhållande och tankeväckande arrangemang där vinnare av Ig Nobel Prize presenterar sina udda, roliga och oväntade forskningsprojekt.

Vid arrangemanget i Lund kommer några av universitetets egna Ig Nobel‑pristagare att presentera sin forskning bakom priserna. Medverkar gör även Ig Nobel Prize‑grundaren Marc Abrahams, tillsammans med tidigare Ig Nobel‑pristagare och forskare från Lunds universitet.

Priset, som har delats ut sedan 1991, hedrar prestationer som är så överraskande att de först får människor att skratta – och sedan att tänka. Ig Nobel syftar till att fira det ovanliga, hedra det fantasifulla och väcka människors intresse för vetenskap.

Evenemanget arrangeras av Lunds universitet tillsammans med Ig Nobel Prize‑grundaren Marc Abrahams och Sveriges unga akademi.

Ig Nobel is coming to Lund on 21 April as part of its European tour

The Ig Nobel Euro Tour offers an entertaining and thought-provoking event at which winners of the Ig Nobel Prize present their offbeat, amusing and unexpected research projects.

Some of the University’s own Ig Nobel prize-winners will present the research behind the prizes at the event in Lund. Along with previous Ig Nobel prize-winners and researchers  from Lund University, the founder of the Ig Nobel Prize, Marc Abrahams, will also be taking part. 

From Lund University, the following will participate:

The Prize, which has been awarded annually since 1991, honours achievements that are  so surprising that they first make people laugh – and then make them think. The Ig Nobel Prize aims to celebrate the unusual, recognise imaginative approaches and awaken people’s interest in science.

The event is arranged by Lund University in cooperation with the founder of the Ig Nobel Prize, Marc Abrahams, and Young Academy of Sweden.
