Isoflavonoids, flavonoids and flavans from Potentilla astracanica

Phytochemical investigation of the aerial parts of Potentilla astracanica Jacq. led to the isolation of two isoflavonoid glucosides (1, 2) five flavonoid glycosides (3-7) including one flavone-C-glycoside (7) as well as two flavans (8, 9). The occurrence of isoflavonoids and C-glycosyl flavone is being reported for the first time from the genus Potentilla. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
