Validation of Knowledge Claims in Human Science

In English The validity is in this volume grounded in a shared perception of research on human action, its conditions and consequences, as a human science rather than “social” or “behavioral” science. Validity is here more than the validity of representations, as research is not a mirror held to nature. The function of research is rather to clear the ground for change. All of the authors have done research connected to endeavours by human subjects to change their situation. Lindén and Sages have been involved in work life research, Beach and Szybek in curriculum research in school and higher education and Polkinghorne in research on psychotherapy and counselling.
