R&D, International Spillovers and Productivity Growth

Författare

  • Fredrik Sjöholm

Summary, in English

The study deals with R&D, international spillovers and productivity growth. More specifically the first issue we look at is whether R&D spillovers are transferred across different industries and countries. The effect of R&D conducted within the industry, as will as in other industries and countries, on productivity growth are examined. The second issue concerns what channels and factors facilitate the knowledge spillovers. Special emphasis is put on examining the effect on knowledge flows from international trade and geographic conditions. Our third and final issue is to examine the effect on productivity growth from knowledge spillovers facilitated through international trade, direct foreign investment (DFI) and geographic conditions.
