Introduction

During recent decades the  CCK-system has been discovered to serve multiple functions in accordance with its the widespread expression. Thus the lecture will overview the roles of CCK as not only a gut hormone, but also as neurotransmitter, growth and satiety factor, anti-inflammatory cytokin, incretin, putative fertility factor and tumor-marker.
