Harmonic Progression | Green Workshop with Sam Goldscheider
Join us for an inspiring and reflective workshop where we will explore how the classical music world can contribute to a more sustainable future!
The "Green Workshop" is an interactive group activity designed to engage participants in thinking about the intersection between the classical music world and the climate crisis. The workshop explores essential questions to help participants understand why it is important to take action, why it isn’t always easy, and how both individuals and communities can benefit from caring more about our planet.
Workshop Leader
The workshop is led by Sam Goldscheider, Head of Orchestras at the Verbier Festival, where he also runs the Green Project. Sam previously worked with Harrison Parrott and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and in 2020, he founded Harmonic Progression, a non-profit organisation that inspires the classical music world to take meaningful action for both people and the planet.
Who is it for?
This workshop is for anyone studying or working with music. Sam Goldscheider comes from the classical field but is more than happy to include perspectives from other musical world. There will be time for both group discussions and smaller breakout sessions.
