Summary, in English

The work of Beppe Fenoglio, a well-known Italian writer, has increased in popularity in the 90s, more than 30 years after his death. As a reaction to the change in the Italian political scene with the entry of the neo fascist party in the government in the 90s, the new generation felt a need to defend the democratic ideals; this might explain the rediscovery the works of Fenoglio where the partisan ideals are to be found. The new generation goes back to the books of Fenoglio and, at the same time, the post-punk music movement uses his texts and rediscovers the image of the partisan.
This essay focuses on the relation between the work of Fenoglio and the Italian post-punk movement of the 90s and tries to investigate the differences occurred between the original texts of Fenoglio and the post-punk music, where the original texts are mixed with lyrics and integrated with music to create a multimedial performance.
After presenting the main features of the Italian political background of the 90’s, the works of Fenoglio and the most important band of the Italian post-punk movement, called Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti (CSI), this essay goes on studying the connection between the original texts by Fenoglio and their integration in a particular musical event dating from 1996. The conclusions show that the transfer originates changes leading to a partial loss of the original meaning of the texts by Fenoglio.
