Open lecture on game design / 1, 2, 3, Playtime workshop series
The open lecture is all about diving into the heart of game design. The following workshop will explore the inner workings of game production and why it matters. Through a series of non-digital exercises, participants will get hands-on experience testing and understanding the fundamentals of game design. These activities are designed to equip you with the tools to analyze and modify games effectively. We'll also touch on the practicalities of games production and let you in on how the games sausage is made.
On day two, participants will delve into Unreal Engine. Working from a prototype provided by us, you'll have the opportunity to apply the techniques and principles discussed on day one. It's a chance to bring your ideas to life and experience firsthand some of the creative possibilities of game design.
If you are interested in the open lecture, fill in the following registration form not later than April 16th.
We have limited seats for the workshop part, but if you are interested, send an email to: margot [dot] edstrom [at] iac [dot] lu [dot] se. Please note that you’ll need to install Unreal Engine 5.3.2 in your own laptop to participate during day two.
