Camilla Mellander, Consul General of Sweden in New York, MSc Economics
Camilla Mellander, LUSEM alumna from the MSc programme in Economics, had her eyes set on a career in an international setting from an early age. Following her academic pursuits in Economics, she pursued further training in diplomacy (Diplomatprogrammet) through the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Camilla has served as Sweden's ambassador to Vietnam. Presently, she holds the role of Consul General of Sweden in New York, where her primary focus lies in promoting business and culture. In this capacity, she dedicates her efforts to assisting Swedish enterprises and supporting the success of authors, filmmakers, and artists in the vibrant setting of New York.
During the webinar, you'll gain insights into both the challenges and successes that Camilla encountered on her career journey.
Charlotte Beskow, retired from a long career within the European Space Agency, MSc Electrical Engineering
Charlotte Beskow, an LTH alumna holding an MSc in Electrical Engineering, has dedicated over three decades to her career within the European Space Agency (ESA). Through her position at the ESA, Charlotte has played a pivotal role in developing the European Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) that carried cargo to the International Space Station (ISS). Charlotte actively participated in project management from 1999 to 2015, including the successful completion of five missions. At the end of her career she became the ESA / STS representative at the European Launch Site in French Guiana (CSG).
In the upcoming webinar, Charlotte will share experiences of her professional journey from LTH to French Guiana. She will share insights into the challenges she encountered along the way and offer valuable advice for individuals aspiring to pursue a career in a high tech environment.
Iryna Stavchuk, Ukraine programme manager, European Climate Foundation, MSc in Environmental Management and Policy
Iryna Stavchuk, an alumna of the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), and a graduate from the MSc in Environmental Management and Policy, has recently been nominated as one of the BBC 100 most inspiring and influential women. She is a leading expert on climate policies and has recently joined the European Climate Foundation as Ukraine Programme Manager, with the main goal of designing green and climate-proof solutions for the post-war recovery of her country. Prior to assuming this position, Iryna served as the Deputy Environment Minister for the Ukrainian government from 2019 to 2022. In this capacity, she played a crucial role in shaping climate change policies, overseeing European integration, managing international relations, and addressing biodiversity concerns.
During the webinar, Iryna will provide insights into her remarkable journey and share the challenges she has confronted along the way, offering valuable perspectives on her current impactful role.
