Abstract in Undetermined
The integrated approach of consumers to new product development has its serious challenges that have been recognized by several researchers, but has not been sufficiently investigated. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to propose a conceptual framework for the analysis of how companies involve users in the innovation efforts through Web 2.0. The case study method was used in the empirical part of the study. This research has generated evidence that large firms, usually adhering to closed innovation processes, has to face several management challenges associated with development and operations of innovation tools on the web.
